Taittinger Comte de Champagne Blanc de Blanc 1998

Comtes de Champagne is, among Blancs de Blancs, a benchmark of consistant excellence. The house benefits from extensive vineyard holdings in Grand Cru Chardonnay villages such as Avize, Cramant and Le Mesnil-sur-Orger. They use only the first pressing of hightest quality juice and a very small percentage (perhaps 5%) is fermented in new, small oak barrels- just enough to heighten the Champagne's complexity. Taittinger Comte de Champagne Blanc de Blanc 1998 is a classic, offering great focus and refinement of taste with subtle white fruit and toasty notes- a supreme Blanc de Blancs.
