A crisp, yet complex wine, Rex Hill Unwooded Chardonnay 2006 represents the sixth vintage of Oregon’s original ultra-premium “un-oaked” Chardonnay. To highlight the wonderful fruit and underlying minerality in some of the Willamette Valley’s best vineyard sites, we ferment in small stainless steel fermenters to retain the fruit’s bright transparency and then age the wines on their lees in small stainless steel drums to achieve a creamy mouthfeel. Aromas of candied citrus, plums, green apple. Good richness on the attack, with broad palate-coating flavors that echo the nose. The brisk acidity adds structure and freshness, focusing the mineral notes, and lengthening flavors.
Treana Viognier 2007 displays the elegant varietal characteristics of Viognier and Marsanne; vibrant floral aromas of citrus blossom and jasmine are followed by ripe stone fruit flavors, hints of pear, pineapple and honey overtones. Solid minerality lends complexity and structure. The mouth feel is full, while bright acidity cleans the palate and offers ease and versatility to food-pairing. A wine of excellent balance and complexity, the 2007 Treana White will age beautifully over the next decade.

Drinking this wine, one can almost feel they have fallen into a rose garden and been transported to heaven. Elysium is used to either accompany or replace dessert. It is wonderful with blue cheeses, with desserts containing red fruits (such as Summer Pudding, an English favorite), with vanilla, with dark chocolate, with ice cream desserts, and candlelight. One favorite is to pour the wine onto vanilla ice cream.

Purple-colored, the aromatics are a bit reticent initially, but soon scents of toasty oak, tar, licorice, scorched earth, and blueberry emerge. This leads to a wine which is more structured and less opulent than its peers. It will evolve for a minimum of 8-10 years and drink well through 2040.

The gentle tingle of acid keeps the berry fruits lively, will complement food and enable this wine to age gracefully.
Andeluna Torrontes 2008 has a very good body and a medium structure with marked freshness and acidity. Delightful aromas of white flowers, jasmine, peach, apricot and grapefruit combine with flavors of tropical fruits, citrus and spices to produce a refreshingly exquisite wine with a long finish.

Klinker Brick Old Vines Zinfandel 2007 comes from vines that average 85 years of age grown near the Mokelumne River in Lodi. This is a sweet, jammy wine reminscent of blackberry pie, black bepper and cigar box on the nose and palate. A concentrated vintage that's juicy and sweet, this calls for a grassfed burger with onion and tomato confit and tangy blue cheese.

Though approachable now, Maysara Delara Pinot Noir 2005 will continue to develop over time.
